12th January 2017

Dear Prof. Dechambenoit,

The International Neurological Physical Therapy Association (INPA) is running an Africa reach-out project to foster stronger links with physiotherapists in Africa who are particularly interested in neurological rehabilitation. We aim firstly to facilitate communication and collaboration between INPA and physiotherapists who work in Africa. Secondly, to recruit new members of INPA from Africa, and thirdly, to support the development of neurological physiotherapy practice, education and research. We would welcome enquiries and expressions of interest about INPA membership and the Africa Reach-out project from any physiotherapist working in Africa. We would be very happy to hear from physiotherapists from all areas and types of practice, including those working in the most remote and rural locations, and those based in larger cities, as well as researchers and educationalists. We would also be delighted to hear from any of your readers who may be interested in the reach-out project. For further information about the project please contact: elizabeth.cassidy73[at]gmail.com.

The forthcoming World Congress of Physical Therapy (WCPT), in Cape Town, 2nd to 4th July 2017, is the leading international event for the global physical therapy community, with over 4000 delegates expected to attend. WCPT Cape Town offers physiotherapists who work in rehabilitation in the neurological sciences an excellent opportunity to hear about the latest research in the field, and to meet with leading researchers, clinicians and educationalists from across the world. INPA will be running several events at the Congress, and we look forward to welcoming as many members as possible to these events. We would also be delighted to meet potential new members, and physiotherapists with an interest in neurological physical therapy who would like to hear more about our work, aims and objectives. Further information about WCPT Cape Town is available from: http://www.wcpt.org/congress

The International Neurological Physical Therapy Association (INPA) is a recognised sub-group of the World Confederation of Physical Therapy.

Yours sincerely,
